Courting Snowy Egret

The look he was giving me was a little disturbing. Since he was courting and looking at me with this funny gaze I almost ran in the other direction thinking he must be really confused!

Snowy Egrets are quite smaller than the Great Egrets and are completely white in color.

At the height of courtship their plumes are remarkable in appearance and they do not mind displaying them.

It is an amazing ritual of courting birds more so with some than others. i tried to capture this actually taken place but wasn't happening for me today.

I photographed this one in Indian Rocks Beach Florida using my Nikon D40 and 55-200mm lens.

Welcome to the Florida Wildlife Studio

of Wildlife Photographer Deborah Kunzie

A friend asked me at one time, "If you could be anything in the world, what would it be?"

My Answer, "A Wildlife, Nature Photographer!

Photography is my passion! I live for the perfect shot.
Each aspect of wildlife is so incredibly different.
In most ways, better subjects than humans.
There is a healing quality about them and I am fascinated with their presence.
The message in my photographs is an expression of my belief in a Creator.
